Harbin Energy Storage and the Expert Group of the "Science and Technology Innovation Anhui" New Energy Technology Service Group Visited Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology
In July 2022, experts from the "Science and Technology Innovation Anhui" New Energy Technology Service Group of Harbin Energy Storage and Anhui Automation Society visited Liquid Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. for in-depth exchanges on liquid energy storage.
The relevant person in charge of Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. gave a detailed introduction to the advantages of all vanadium battery technology, patent situation, domestic and foreign research and development teams, and project implementation cases. The person in charge of the company stated that the future energy development ideas in Anhui Province are very in line with the company's development plan. In the near future, experts will be organized to conduct on-site inspections in Hefei to explore new cooperation models, promote the multi scenario application of large-scale long-term energy storage in Hefei and even Anhui Province, and provide cutting-edge technology and industrial support for energy structure adjustment and achieving a low-carbon economy. This exchange has laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two sides.
After the exchange, the expert group visited Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. and domestic hydrochloric acid based all vanadium liquid flow energy storage power plants. The project was constructed by Liquid Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. On July 1st, its first phase was successfully completed in Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone. The first phase of the project is 1MW/4MWh, and once fully completed, it will achieve a storage capacity of 10MW/40MWh. Through peak shaving and valley filling, as well as solar and solar energy storage, it will provide 14 million kWh of electricity demand annually during peak hours. This energy storage plant is the world's largest hydrochloric acid based all vanadium flow battery energy storage plant. Compared to traditional sulfuric acid based liquid flow batteries, this not only increases the energy density of the battery by 20%, but also allows it to operate in more severe temperature environments. The active temperature control device only turns on when it is above 65 degrees Celsius, greatly reducing its own energy consumption and improving energy efficiency.
