Dear colleagues
It's a pleasure to be with you all in the beautiful "City of Angels" Bangkok. This is the first time we have met offline since the COVID-19. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Thai government, especially Prime Minister Bayou, for their efforts in preparing for this conference!
At present, the COVID-19 has repeatedly delayed, the world economic recovery is facing various challenges, unilateralism and protectionism are rising, the global industrial chain supply chain is impacted, and inflation, food, energy security and other issues are complex and serious.
The Asia Pacific is where we stand and the source of global economic growth. In the past few decades, economic cooperation in the Asia Pacific region has flourished, creating a world-renowned "Asia Pacific miracle", and Asia Pacific cooperation has long been deeply rooted in people's hearts.
Now, the world is once again at a crossroads in history, with the Asia Pacific region playing a more important and prominent role.
The ancient Chinese said, "Those who know are not confused, those who are kind are not worried, and those who are brave are not afraid." In the new situation, we must work together to build a community with a shared future in the Asia Pacific and create new brilliance in Asia Pacific cooperation. Here, I would like to make a few suggestions.
Firstly, maintain international fairness and justice, and build a peaceful and stable Asia Pacific. The rapid economic growth of the Asia Pacific region in the past few decades has benefited from a peaceful and stable environment. An important inspiration is mutual respect, unity and cooperation, and when encountering problems, everyone should discuss and seek a common denominator. We should adhere to a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security concept, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, respect the development path and social system independently chosen by the people of all countries, attach importance to the legitimate security concerns of all countries, and resolve differences and disputes between countries through dialogue and consultation. We need to actively participate in global governance, promote the development of the international order towards a more just and reasonable direction, and provide guarantees for peace and stability in the Asia Pacific and the world.
Secondly, we must adhere to openness and inclusiveness, and build an Asia Pacific region of common prosperity. History has repeatedly proven that openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation are the right paths in the world. We must adhere to open regionalism, strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination, build a closer regional industrial chain supply chain, promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, steadily advance the process of regional economic integration, and establish a high-level Asia Pacific Free Trade Area as soon as possible. We must adhere to the principle of development for the people, relying on the people, and sharing the fruits of development with the people, in order to promote common prosperity for all people in the Asia Pacific region. China is willing to fully and high-quality implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with relevant parties, and will continue to promote accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, promoting regional integration and development. Next year, China will consider holding the third the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to inject new impetus into the development and prosperity of the Asia Pacific and the world.
Thirdly, adhere to green and low-carbon development, and build a clean and beautiful Asia Pacific. Protecting the ecological environment and addressing climate change are common challenges faced by all humanity. We need to strengthen economic and technological cooperation, accelerate digital and green coordinated development, promote the transformation and upgrading of energy resources, industrial structure, and consumption structure, and promote green economic and social development. This year, we jointly formulated the Bangkok goal of a bio circular green economy, promoting ecological environment protection and economic development in a coordinated manner. China will provide support for the implementation of the Bangkok goals. Last year, I proposed a global development initiative at the United Nations to strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as poverty reduction, food, energy, and health, accelerate the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and welcome the active participation of Asia Pacific countries.
Fourthly, we must adhere to the principle of shared destiny and build an Asia Pacific that stands by and helps each other. We need to take a strategic and long-term perspective on Asia Pacific cooperation, maintain the main channel position of APEC in regional cooperation, and maintain the correct direction of Asia Pacific cooperation. We must uphold the principles and purposes of APEC and continuously deepen the Asia Pacific partnership of mutual trust, inclusiveness, cooperation, and win-win results. We must carry forward the spirit of the "big family", work together in times of adversity, watch and help each other, and continue to move forward towards building a community with a shared future in the Asia Pacific region!

Last month, the 20th National Congress of the CPC was successfully held, pointing out the direction and blueprint for China's development at present and in the future. China is willing to coexist and develop peacefully with all countries on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit. China will continue to open up to the outside world in a wider range, in a wider range and at a deeper level, adhere to the path of Chinese path to modernization, build a new open economic system at a higher level, and continue to share China's development opportunities with the world, especially the Asia Pacific region.
There is a saying in Thailand: 'What seeds are sown, what fruits are sown.' We have jointly sown the seeds of Butragaya's vision, and should carefully cultivate and care for it together, cultivating the flower of prosperity for the common development of the Asia Pacific region!
